The project Creating a timeless family home

For this villa, the owners wanted to create a timeless, elegant, and welcoming interior. We therefore worked around a genuine unity of materials and tones, able to connect the different spaces of the house naturally. The generous volumes, the large picture windows, and the fine ceiling heights gave us an ideal canvas on which to imagine a decorative scheme that is both refined and perfectly balanced.

The ambition was to design a home in the image of its owners: a family house where everyone can find their place, while retaining an understated aesthetic that remains elegant over the years. A true cocoon designed for entertaining, coming together, and letting a family’s memories write themselves.

Our approach A project imagined with the owners, down to the smallest detail

For this project, the owners wanted to be fully involved in the thinking alongside our team. Choice of furniture, organization of the volumes, selection of materials, and the creation of bespoke fittings: every decision was taken together, and in collaboration with the Eyka Architecture practice, to give rise to an interior that genuinely reflects them.

The large open-plan kitchen was a wonderful space for creativity in particular. There we chose to combine the warmth of a precious wood with the timeless elegance of marble. The result is a sophisticated yet deeply convivial kitchen, where the quality of the materials and finishes accompanies everyday moments naturally.

For the bespoke fittings, we called on our Italian craftsmen, specialists in woodwork and the creation of custom furniture. This collaboration allowed us to imagine pieces perfectly suited to the villa’s volumes and to the owners’ expectations.

In the living room, the centrepiece of the house, their wish was clear: to install a generously sized sofa, able to fill the space while immediately inviting you to relax. We therefore designed a bespoke piece upholstered in a magnificent beige tweed fabric and dressed with numerous cushions. Every finish was chosen with the owners to achieve a perfectly resolved result.

Harmony of volumes, visual unity, and elegance of materials: Villa Chapeau Rouge reflects a fully bespoke approach to interior architecture.

The result A light-filled villa where elegance is lived every day

In this villa, everything has been designed to bring out one of its greatest assets: the light. Large sheer curtains with delicate drapes dress the wide picture windows without ever blocking the natural light that flows through the different rooms of the house. The remarkable ceiling heights also allowed us to play with proportions. Above the dining table, a spectacular light fitting made up of around ten seventies-inspired pendants brings rhythm, graphic impact, and character to the space.

Light-filled walls, a generous table seating around ten guests, warm parquet flooring, graphic rugs, and refined details down to the choice of light switches and artworks: every element contributes to the coherence of the whole.

The result is an elegant yet lived-in villa, one you can immediately picture yourself settling into. Curling up on the large sofa, welcoming family and friends around the table, or leaning on the kitchen island to share a convivial moment: the spaces have been designed to be as beautiful as they are pleasant to live in.
